Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam was born in 1931. He belongs to a Tamil Muslim family in Rameshwaram. His father name is Jainulabdeen and his mother’s name is Ashiamma. Kalam has four brothers and one sister in his family. He is the youngest child of his family.

Abdul Kalam’s Career
He started his career by designing a small hovercraft. Kalam started his career in 1960. After that in 1969, Abdul Kalam transferred to Indian Space Reserach Organisation (ISRO). He chargred as director of India’s first satellite launch vehicle SLV-III.
In 1970 Kalam also directed two projects Project Devil and Project Valiant. Kalam played a major part in developing many missiles under mission Agni. Kalam served as 11th President of India. He won the 2002 Presidential election.
Abdul Kalam Death
On July 27, 2015 Kalam travelled to Shillong to deliver a lecture to Indian Institue Of Management Shillong. During the lecture he got uncomfort, he collapsed. He was admitted in Bethany hospital in a critical condition. Finally, Kalam was reported as dead by sudden Cardiac arrest.
Abdul Kalam’s body was hand over to his family at Rameshwaram. On 30 July the former president was laid to rest at Rameshwaram Pei Karumbu Ground with full state honours.
