CAN Number Registration in Tamilnadu – Step by Step Guide
To register CAN number, you have to create an account in Tnesevai website. If you already have an account in Tnesevai then login to the portal. Once you have successfully logged in click the “Revenue Department” link.
Now you will be redirected to another page where all the certificates under the Revenue Department will be shown. Click any one of the certificate links. For example, I have chosen the “Income Certificate” link. The instructions page will be open. Click the “Proceed” button to continue.
You will be redirected to the CAN number page where you can search your existing CAN number or else you can register a new CAN number. To register a new CAN number click the “Register CAN” button.
CAN number registration form will be open where you have to fill-up your personal details such as,

- Applicant Name
- Gender
- Date of Birth

- Father/Husband Name
- Mother Name
- Religion
- Community
- Education Qualification
- Current Address
- Permanent Address
- Contact Details
- Bank Details
Once you have filled up all the details click the “Generate OTP” button. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and verify.
Finally submit the form. That’s it you have successfully created the CAN number.
